I stayed in this hotel and although it is not cheap compared with Turkish standards (mind you the other hotels in Sivas that I examined were not good business, exactly what it seemed the best value, although it was also the most expensive), but it is recently renovated, very comfortable and comes with everything you expect from a modern 4 star hotel. Besides costs, the only team in place is that it has more or less than zero character. AKPC_IDS += "2384,"; Popularity: unranked [?] Ralated posts Women... » Read more
I just returned from Turkey — went to the eclipse. Back in January we booked a room at Ozmen Pension in Antlaya — This reservation has been confirmed by email repeatedly reconfirmed by phone before leaving Sydney, Istanbul and also confirmed by phone the day before arriving at Anatalya . When we arrived they told us they had no place for us, but his friend has a room (lower standard mind you) for the same price. We were lucky, we were able to find alternative arrangements. I have been told that you should haggle for hotel prices. Even in the USA, «Rack Prices», the set prices given on hotel websites, are considered flexible. Does anyone have any advice on how to accomplish this before your arrival? Do I e-mail them or call them on the phone? Or should I just wait to book when I arrive and haggle then? Any advice would be appreciated. » Read more AKPC_IDS += "2377,"; Popularity: unranked [?] Ralated posts Women traveling alone in Istanbul,... » Read more
We traveled to Turkey for the solar eclipse and remained in the country for 3 weeks in total and I can easily say that the best travel experience (except for seeing the eclipse, of course!) Arrived at the hotel Venus. We were so tired after driving for several hours, but when we arrived here, the food, wine and peaceful atmosphere has made us so relaxed — the perfect ending for the day. The owners were also very helpful with information for the rest of our trip. AKPC_IDS += "2375,"; Popularity:... » Read more

We stayed at the Villa Daffodil This past May and give it a high recommendation. The location is superb — it was on the road in front of the port immediately after the Marina. Our room overlooking the harbor, with a beautiful lounge Cumba oerlooking port and a small balcony. The room is beautifully but simply appointed with Turkish carpets, embroidered duvet covers, curtains, handmade, and workwork very lucky. The breakfast was average Turkish breakfast but dinner was fantastic —... » Read more

It is located in Sultanahmet, about two blocks from the Blue Mosque and Aya Sophia and within walking distance of the Sea of Marmara. It is run by two brothers, Hakan and Okan. For some, it would be folly, but rates vary according to the room. The situation is such that you need a good AC (the hotel is not so great, so the breeze is unlikely), and they have it. They are ready to help with other things you might need to check, and parking is free internet in lobby. The breakfast is great and is served... » Read more
